The company recently hosted an internal contest to design a label for the courtesy water bottles managers distribute to customers. In the thread "Introducing SPACE Water," in the "Marketing" forum, he posted this photo of the winner. They threw in the cat just for "star power," he says. His company enjoys having fun with its marketing! Have an interesting story or photo to share? Post it the "Tales From the Trenches" or "Day-to-Day Management" forum. We recently asked members if they feel safe at work. Here's what they reported. A Helping Hand Senior member Tall Terri had a tenant—a veteran—who was moving. The customer couldn't take his couch with him and didn't know what to do with it. She suggested he sell it on mobile marketplace "OfferUp," but he wasn't familiar with the platform. To help, she went ahead and posted the item and even helped negotiate the sale. "It just feels good to do something nice for someone," she wrote in the thread "How far will you go to help a tenant?" in the "General Storage Chat" forum. NOT YET A MEMBER OF SELF-STORAGE TALK? Some people are unhappy with their own lives and take it out on you, no matter what you to do accommodate them. Don't take it personal." —psconroe Member Wisdom 88% YES 12% NO 10 ISS I May 2019 www.insideselfstorage.com
